I love the Santa Claus is coming to town - it matches my daughter's Christmas dress perfectly!
I am thankful for eyes that open every morning to greet a new day. I am thankful for legs that carry me wherever I need to go. I am thankful for a heart beating with love. For a husband who is always there when I need him. I am thankful for my daughter who is pure joy. and for the multitude of blessings that fill my life. I say often that I wish there were a word bigger than "thankful" as I find myself searching for it often.
However, I must confess something! I fell in love with a comment. It really hit home with me because it perfectly explains how I feel about Maggie. Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for knowing me so well as to give me my hearts desire without me even knowing that it was something I was missing. Really content with my two boys I was looking forward to Maggie being my third boy and was actually a little sad when I found out she was a girl but that all ended the day she was born! I just can't resist the temptation to buy Stephanie the Red Hot Floral, her favorite, so her little girl can wear it for the holidays.

I love all the pink ones and the Red Hot Floral!
Having a daughter has rekindled my own sense of femininity. I love the ability to be tender and strong at the same time, to wear a flower in your hair, twirl in a skirt, and have a sparkle in your eye. I am thankful to have a more full appreciation for how the Lord make both male and female in His image. Girls Rock!
Happy Holidays to all of you and to our winners!

Whoop! Whoop! (think Arsenio Hall and throw that fist up if you are feeling a little bit crazy!). Perhaps you have been lured by the delicious bloom clips that Maggie has sported in a couple of my postings (here and here) from The Bloomin' Boutique! Well, this is going to make your mouth water more than that turkey this Thanksgiving! Jacki, the shop owner, is giving away a $25 shop credit to The Bloomin' Boutique! This makes me happy because I love supporting handmade goodies and Maggie and I have gone crazy over these hair clips...here are just a few from our personal stash!
How to enter: Please go to The Bloomin' Boutique and select your favorite bloom. Then come back here and write a comment (leave your email when you submit your name so it becomes a link for me to contact you if you win) on which one was your favorite and something that you are thankful for this year (the comment that touches us the most via laughter, tears, or warm fuzzies) will receive the blooms of their choice. The Bloomin Boutique would be quite thankful if were to "Heart" The Bloomin' Boutique by adding it as one of your shop favorites on Etsy, follow The Bloomin' Boutique blog, and "like" The Bloomin' Boutique on facebook but we're not going to twist your arm over it.
Etsy has also started a coupon code and Jacki will be offering 10% to my few, but precious, readers. Enter COUPON CODE: imarriedmrrogers. Giveaway is available to those living in the U.S. and Canada. The Giveaway ends Wednesday Dec. 1st and the winner will be posted on Thursday. If the winner does not claim their prize then it will be forfited to another reader that made us laugh, cry or gave us a warm fuzzy! This giveaway is now closed.

I love the Holly Jolly red one. Classic, understated and would give a hearty pop of color!
ReplyDeleteTwo things I'm thankful for--two of many, many blessings. I am thankful to the Rogers family for introducing me to Groupon. I don't know why I get such pleasure in checking the deals everyday. Perhaps it is the anticipation of who will be giving away something for a fraction of the price next. Perhaps, simply the satisfaction my whole being gets from a good deal. Whatever the reason(s), I heart Groupon.
Secondly, and on a deeper level, I am thankful that God's mercies are new every morning. I am thankful for new days, and experiencing the Bible come to life particularly in the hard times.
I cheated and did two.
i love the grey blooming blossom. so cute.
ReplyDeletei'm grateful for a family who loves me and who has sacrficed so much for me. i really don't deserve them and i don't even know where i'd be without them.
i'm also grateful for cute boys who make my life better and who hold my hand. :)
I love all the pink ones and the Red Hot Floral!

Fall Bloom - my absolute favorite color palette and I'm a sucker for all things polka dot!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for the privilege, responsibility and reward of parenting. Who knew this little girl was going to enter the world and breathe new life into me? Who knew I was going to learn so much about myself in the process? Her tender touch, the way she caresses my face, plays with my hair; her big blue eyes full of wonder, love and discovery; her unadulturated and intense love - given freely, abundantly and without expectations; her severe love of her daddy... I could go on and on. These things melt me on a daily basis - I am in L.O.V.E
They're all super cute. But my favs are the Tangerine Delight and the My Love Blooms.
ReplyDeleteNot to sound cliche', but I'm totally thankful for my family (this, and every other year). For my husband who truly is my better half. He keeps me centered, calm, and collected. And for the love that we still have for each other after almost 10 years of marriage! And for my children, who keep me laughing on a daily basis and giving me a purpose in life - to be their mommy!
Great giveaway...thanks!
LOVE the Double Stuffed Oreo!!! CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful for my life. This summer while on vacation my husband and I were in an ATV accident and I rolled down the side of a mountain. The ATV came to rest above me on the hill and as my husband got to me it had rolled on top of me withe handle bars beginning to push down on my chest. I suffered a broken arm requiring surgery and sustained severe nerve trauma meaning that my wrist and hand would not function. After months of therapy, the nerve looked hopeless, but just 2 weeks ago, it began showing signs of healing!!! I am so unbelievably thankful for that as well!
Thanks!

This year I am grateful for many things - my family, my always present Jesus, my health and mashed potatoes. It is a transition year as it is the last one without the sweet sounds (and smells) of a little one. Mr. Schalk (the hubs) and I are expecting our first baby girl in February. So, this year we enjoyed turkey that was hot, conversation that did not include the words "poo" or "spit up" and the wonderful anticipation of a new chapter in our lives. As fun as this year is/was I cannot wait to welcome God's precious gift of a sweet baby girl to our family. And, of course, doll her up with lovely things like the "Tangerine Delight Bloom." :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Santa Claus is Coming to Town flower.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for my health this year. 6 months ago, after having my third child, we found out I had stage 4 breast cancer. The cancer had spread to my bones. The last six months have been filled with chemo, and surgery. Just this last week I was pronounced cancer free. I still have to go through radiation but for now I don't have any cancer. I am thankful that I will be around for my children at least for a little while. With it being stage 4, they predict it will come back again and again until my body won't be able to fight it. So for now I am thankful that I am alive.
My favorite is the Pink Bubblegum Polka Dot Bloom.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that we were able to celebrate our 20th anniversary with a safe trip to Alaska and that our house is nearing completion of a remodel.
Thanks for adding another favorite etsy shop to my list! So cute! my daughter will NOT leave clips in her hair, but she just might be able to keep a headband in. My favorite is the Light Aqua and Chocolate Dots. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteI am bawling over mframe's post: I can't imagine what you must be going through!
I am thankful for my family! We have had a whirlwind of a year, but we have gotten through everything together, and are sure to play and laugh as much as we can.
Hey, I thought I already signed up for this, but it's obviously not showing! Anyway, I love the grey polka dot one (forgot what it's called!)
ReplyDeleteAnd I am so grateful for heat... the power has been out in a large part of our area for a few days and I just can't imagine no heat right now!
That's shallow. SOrry.
Tangerine Delight is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful that I live in Southern California.
After spending a week in the actual winter snow with family - I realize how much harder life is when you have to shovel yourself out of your house each day.
Mandie
I love them all... But the ones that have a more complex pattern are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful for grace, because I think I screw up as a parent almost daily! So I thank God for every new day!
-Cita
All fun, all cute...thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for friends and family. And for red wine!
I too love them all, but think the Holly Jolly red is simply perfect for a bit of holiday cheer!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for life. I am thankful for my beautiful daughter and husband (and the patience to deal with them both :) for a job that I love, (and my health so that I can do that job) and for my amazing friends and family.
-Amy xoxo
To think that I thought I had too many hair accessories already for my soon to be baby girl...now you have me pondering if I should buy another box to fill.
ReplyDeleteAs for what I am thankful for, I don't even know where to begin. This has been a rough year with losing my best friend but God has graciously granted me peace and a new bundle of joy will be here before Christmas. I am thankful for life...

The Sweet Love is my favorite, because I love pink! It would look so beautiful on my gorgeous daughter-in-law and my incredibly cute granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for the life God has given me. I'm not a celebrity, or a famous person, but I think my life is more blessed than the biggest celebrities'! I have a wonderful husband, of 33 years, two amazingly handsome and talented sons, a daughter-in-law who God chose especially for us, and two grandchildren to love and cherish. Oh, and He has given us challenges in our current years to make us love and appreciate all we have even more! Who could have a better, more fulfilling life?! Thanks be to God!
I am busy shopping the Cyber Monday deals today. I would say that I am thankful for the internet, but I think that is just the sort of shallow response you were hoping to avoid seeing on your blog during this giveaway. So instead I will say that I am thankful I see the world in color. Life would be boring indeed if we saw only in black and white. I love love love all of the colors! That said, my favorite bloom is cookies and cream, which, ironically, is black and white. Ok, maybe I am thankful for irony too. Happy Cyber Monday to all! ~Sabrina
ReplyDeleteSweet Little Flower Child is Elliott and my favorite! My 2 year old niece would look adorable in it (well any of my nieceies)!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful new mercies every morning, hope and love, and my boys (the best hubby is included)! I am thankful for the challenges I don't like but that mature me daily and the joy I have. I'm thankful for my sewing machine, although it's been quite lonely, daily provisions, ice cream, my job, friends, a healthy 12 wk bump, a house to host in, and everything I have in Him!

The Butterscotch Blooms are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for an abundant life. Not because I have an awesome family, great friends, a warm home, or a fantastic job, but because of a loving and graceful God who gives me more than I could ever deserve!!!
I love the Teal Blossoming Bloom and the Whimsical Kaleidoscope - so cute!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...so much to be thankful for this year and always, but I guess today I'm most thankful for the opportunity to be able to stay at home with my babies. My husband lost his teaching job and towards the end of summer it looked like a very real possibility that I would be going back to work (even seemed maybe it was God's will since he opened up my old position). I was devastated as I realized how much I took it for granted being home with my kids and thinking of all the things I would be missing when I went back to work. Needless to say, I cried the first day I was able to work at my son's preschool class b/c I was so thankful to be able to be there with him instead of sitting in my cubicle for 9 hrs. a day and only tucking him in at night.
**This is completely NOT me being against working moms, I actually work from home with 2 jobs, but it was an eye opening realization for me how much being a SAHM was my dream come true**
I love the Halle Jean.
ReplyDeleteI want the Halle Jean to put on my little girl Luca, which means 'bringer of light.' She came in the midst of a couple rough years and brought sunshine and joy to our lives. I am thankful for the gift she is and for my family, good health, my Korean adoptee friends who make life not so lonely, my non-adopted friends who are gems, and for all the different foodstuffs on this planet that I have enjoyed and have yet to still enjoy.

I love the cookies and cream bloom!
ReplyDeleteI think this year the think I am most thankful for is my new dachshund princess I adopted a couple of months ago, though she's already proving a costly addition to the family after taking on a raccoon. She makes me laugh every day with her antics. I think my favorite thing Charlotte does is the "victory lap" around the house while carrying the nearest toy when I first arrive home. Oh and also quite thankful for the safe trip home in the winter wonderland that is Washington and Oregon.
These are so cute! I wish I had a little girl to wear one with, but these would be so cute on my two nieces. Great job Kim!
ReplyDeleteThis year I am most thankful for my family. We added our third little guy to the family this past September and after a difficult pregnancy and delivery, we are very blessed to have Garen in our lives. He is a blessed addition to our family as are our other two boys and I can't imagine our lives without him.

ReplyDeletei love this one.
as for thanksgiving well, my grandparents who adopted me when i was two weeks old lost their house due to foreclosure so my fiance asked them if they would like to live with us for a while, knowing well that we didn't have the money after having a baby last december. It was the sweetest thing and I am so thankful that I met such a heart warming guy. My grandparents now live with us and made a huge thanksgiving dinner, in which my daughter just ran around the house with a kitchen towel over her head yelling at people and i couldn't have been happier at that very moment hearing laughter throughout the house. We may not be the most conventional family, but we pulled it together and made the best holiday thus far.
thanks for the giveaway, love!

thanks for an awesome giveaway!
Love the Grey's All The Rage bloom.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for the nasty diaper (and nasty onesie and nasty outfit) that I changed today because it means that I have my sweet new daughter at home and her adoption will be finalized in 3 weeks if all goes according to plan!

My favorite is the Grey Blossoming Bloom.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for Johnson's baby shampoo...there is nothing like a new baby in the home. My musky little bleu is two months old...

ReplyDeleteI really like the grey blooming blossom!
ReplyDeleteThis year for Thanksgiving, I was in charge of all the desserts.
I was really nervous.
I am SO thankful that all my desserts came out perfect and my aunt even asked for my monkey bread recipe! :)

I'm a simpleton. I like the black mamba (or was it mambo??).
ReplyDeleteI've been saying this year that I just feel blessed to tears. We are struggling to keep the ends meeting each month after my husband agreed to a substantial pay cut. But God is so faithful and somehow we always get everything paid, and we have everything we need. I'm just so grateful. Last year at this time, my mom was recovering from a brain aneurysm (and subsequent surgery), and had just suffered a stroke from surgery complications. We weren't sure she was going to live to see the new year and if she did, we were assured she would be vegetable. Today she is healthy, whole, thriving, and preaching about God's miracle in her life. My cup runneth over.
I am totally in love with the Halle Jean.. if I have to choose just one :)
ReplyDeleteThis year, I'm grateful for my little sweet guy. He had a very scary delivery in May (a month early, nearly born in a cab) and is just happy and healthy as can be. I'm grateful for doctors and nurses who brought him to life.. He's my miracle baby.
