An American History teacher by morning, mad seamstress by naptime, mommy and personal servant to three in the late afternoon and wife to my beloved Mr. Rogers by evening. In my suitcase I carry lesson plans on the Progressive Era to educate the ignorant, rotary scissors to fight evil or cut pizza if the kids get hungry, and chew toys to appease my teething daughter. However, since telephone booths are obsolete I just change in my mini-van...okay, I don't really change in my mini-van but the kids leave enough stuff in there that I could put together a pretty crazy outfit!
If you had told me this is what my life would have been like when I was in high school, I think I would have laughed out loud. Here it is though, a husband, beautiful children, and so many passions that not only was I created with but that God has blessed me with the opportunities to embrace them. Learning, creating, writing...these are things that both Mr. Rogers and I love to do. So as it manifests itself on your screen may you read with a smile on your face and have many moments of free entertainment during these economically turbulent times.
I'll leave you with the following youtube clip! So here is a little somethin' somethin' my husband put together after our family vacation two years and one kid ago. Thank goodness Mr. Rogers is such a champ, he allows me to plan our trips based on what I am teaching and as long as I schedule in some baseball stadiums/games he is happy! I won't fool myself into thinking that you really paid attention in U.S. History and can track our loop, but hopefully you will be able to pick out the many great places we got to go while we were back there.
Cheers! Mrs. Rogers
